Our Time at Town Center Boca Raton: A Chapter We’ll Always Be Proud Of

Woodek Design opened its first US showroom at Town Center Boca Raton. Here's the story of that chapter, and what's next.

Our Time at Town Center Boca Raton: A Chapter We’ll Always Be Proud Of

Earlier this year, Woodek Design opened the doors to our very first US showroom at Town Center Boca Raton, one of the most prestigious shopping destinations in South Florida. For a family business with 25+ years of European craftsmanship heritage, it was a dream come true.

Walking Into Something Real

If you’ve ever browsed for furniture online, you know the feeling. You see a beautiful photo, you read the description, but there’s always that question in the back of your mind: what does it actually feel like? That’s exactly why we wanted a physical space. We wanted people to walk in, run their hands across a solid oak tabletop, sit in our chairs, and experience the weight and warmth of real handcrafted hardwood furniture.

And that’s exactly what happened.

A Space That Felt Like Home

We designed the showroom to feel like walking into a living space, not a furniture store. Every piece was arranged the way it would look in your own home. Dining tables set with chairs pulled out, ready for dinner. A sofa you could actually sit in, paired with our coffee table and side tables. Bookshelves and wine racks styled the way you’d style them in your living room.

The response from visitors was everything we hoped for. People didn’t just browse. They sat down. They touched the wood. They asked about the grain, the finish, the construction. Conversations that started with “Is this real oak?” turned into 30 minute discussions about craftsmanship, family heritage, and what it means to own furniture that lasts.

The Pieces That Stopped People in Their Tracks

Our dining tables were the showstoppers. Seeing a solid oak dining table in person, feeling the thickness of the tabletop, noticing how the natural grain catches the light differently from every angle, that’s an experience a product photo simply cannot deliver. Visitors would walk past, stop, take a step back, and then spend the next ten minutes just looking at the wood.

Our Nature dining chairs were another favorite. People would sit in them and immediately comment on how comfortable they are, which always made us smile because comfort is something we obsess over in the design process but can never fully communicate through a screen.

Why We Had to Say Goodbye

Unfortunately, our time at Town Center came to an end. Louis Vuitton is expanding their presence in the mall and the space we occupied became part of their expansion plans. When one of the biggest luxury brands in the world needs your square footage, there isn’t much room for negotiation.

We won’t pretend it wasn’t bittersweet. We loved that space. We loved the conversations we had there, the families who came in on weekends, the designers who stopped by to feel the materials, the people who told us they’d been looking for “exactly this” for years. Closing those doors was hard.

We’re actively looking for a new showroom location in South Florida. The experience at Town Center confirmed what we already believed: people want to see and touch real wood furniture before they buy it, and when they do, the quality speaks for itself.

Until we find the right space, you can still experience Woodek Design in several ways. Our full collection is available online at woodekdesign.com, where every purchase is backed by a 14 day satisfaction guarantee. If you’re local to South Florida, we offer personal delivery in the Boca Raton area and free local pickup from our Deerfield Beach warehouse. We also exhibit at home shows and design expos throughout Florida, so keep an eye on our newsletter for upcoming events.

And if you visited our Town Center showroom and are reading this, thank you. Those conversations meant more to us than you know. We’re a family business, and every person who walked through those doors and took the time to appreciate what we build reminded us why we do this.

We’ll be back with a new space soon. Stay tuned.
